SAGE Museum uses a mixture of original material and responsibly sourced historical, educational and museum resources.
Source types
Museum material may include public-domain works, CC0 and other open-access material, openly licensed resources, institutional metadata, historical records, original SAGE material and curated educational writing.
Third-party collections
References to museums, archives, libraries, universities and other institutions identify the source or context of material. SAGE Museum does not claim ownership of third-party collections, trademarks or material that remains the property of its respective rights holder.
Images and media
Rights can differ from object to object. Where media is identified as public domain, CC0 or otherwise reusable, SAGE Museum may preserve a local copy for presentation. Other material may be linked, attributed or presented according to the rights information available for that source.
Corrections and provenance
Historical identification, dating, provenance and interpretation can change as scholarship develops. SAGE Museum may revise exhibit text when stronger documentation becomes available.
